INP Invites Public to Join in Maintaining Conducive Public Order and Security

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) is urging the public to continue working together to maintain a conducive public order and security situation.

Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP), stated that the conducive situation is reflected in the development of the national public order and security situation, which shows a downward trend in the number of security disturbances.

He stated that based on the 24-hour public order and security situation report on Sunday (8/23/2026), 1,491 incidents of public order and security disturbances were recorded across Indonesia, consisting of 1,374 crimes, 18 violations (minor crimes), 22 disasters, and 77 other disturbances.

This number represents a decrease of 29 cases, or 1.91 percent, compared to the previous day's 1,520 cases.

According to Isir, the maintained conducive public order and security situation is inseparable from public participation and concern.

Therefore, he urged the public to work together to maintain this situation.

"Let's continue to maintain this by respecting each other, caring for each other, and maintaining good communication. Together, we can keep Indonesia safe, peaceful, and comfortable for all people," he said In a statement in Jakarta on Monday (8/24/2026).

He also expressed his appreciation to all elements of the nation who have contributed to creating a safe and conducive atmosphere.

"Thank you to our media colleagues, religious leaders, academics, community leaders, and all elements of society who continue to work together to build and maintain security and order," he said.

Isir also urged the public to work together to maintain order and respond wisely to developments in information on social media.

The public is expected to filter all information, verify its source, and refrain from disseminating content that is provocative, misleading, or has the potential to cause unrest.
