Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) issued Circular Letter Number SE/9/X/2026, officially banning the use of electronic cigarettes, also known as vape, for all police officers and civil servants within the institution, effective 30 October 2026.
"The development of narcotics trafficking modes requires active anticipation, as vapes risk being exploited as media for liquid narcotics distribution, including substances like Etomidate," said INP Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir in Jakarta on Sunday (1/11/2026).
He explained that internal prevention is vital to combating drug abuse and maintaining institutional professionalism. The regulation applies across all operational ranks from INP headquarters down to local police offices, ensuring all officers and civil servants serve as disciplined role models in the ongoing campaign against narcotics.
