Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) officially concluded the 2026 Eid traffic management operations on Monday (30/3/2026), reporting a highly controlled and successful "Mudik Aman, Balik Aman" (Safe Departure, Safe Return) campaign.

"The 2026 Lebaran operations remained well-managed in terms of security and traffic flow. Most significantly, traffic fatalities decreased by 30% compared to last year," said Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, the Head of the INP Traffic Corps, during a press conference at the Jasa Marga Traffic Management Center (JTMC) in Bekasi early Monday morning.

Accompanied by Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, he announced that the local one-way and contraflow systems on the Trans-Java Toll Road were officially deactivated as of midnight Sunday.

Despite a high volume of travelers during the second return wave on 28 and 29 March 2026, the overall accident rate during Operation Ketupat and the subsequent Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) fell by 7%.

Minister Dudy said that while major engineering schemes have ended, personnel remain on standby to assist the small percentage of travelers still on the road, urging them to continue following field officer instructions to ensure a safe arrival home.
