Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) urged the public to foster digital security by improving awareness regarding various online scam methods, including authority impersonation, fraudulent investments, and romance scams.
Head of the Public Information Bureau of the INP Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said that the initiative aligns with directives from INP Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto to protect the public from digital crimes.
"Security in the digital space requires active public participation," he said on Friday (16/10/2026). "We encourage residents to carefully verify information, recognize scam tactics, and double-check facts before taking action."
Chief Trunoyudo advised the public to keep OTP codes and PINs confidential, avoid clicking suspicious links, and verify unexpected financial requests via official channels or the 110 Call Center.
