Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Jakarta Government currently inspect the operation of flue-gas stack on the region, to realize low-emission province by 2030.
“We continuously inspect the flue-gas stack that potentially pollute the air in Jakarta. Our inspection must be thorough, particularly to the industry that uses coal as their fuel,” said Head of DKI Jakarta Environmental Service, Asep Kuswanto on his official statement, Friday (9/22/2023).
In a week, DKI Jakarta Air Control Task Force Team have inspected two palm oil industry.
“The inspection was carried out to industry that potentially does not meet the emission quality standards in its chimney and polluted the air. The flue-gas stack inspection has also become our routine activity for inventory and controlling the air quality from immovable object in Jakarta,” said Asep.
On this inspection, his party have also conducted emission test directly to its source. Moreover, most of industries that have been sanctioned are coal fueled industries.
“We will intensify our inspection on emission quality standards on immovable objects such as fuel-gas stacks. Furthermore, we will expand our emission test on motorbikes as part of our inspection on movable objects,” said Asep in his conclusion.
