Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Three suspected drug couriers identified as ZA, M, and RS were arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Drug Crime Directorate of INP Criminal Investigation Agency, the Customs and Excise, and the Aceh Regional Police.

"The arrest of the suspects was made possible through the joint operation," said Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar, the Director of Drug Crime Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency on Wednesday (2/22/23).

The suspects were caught in the act while attempting to smuggle 200 kg of crystal methamphetamine from Malaysia to Aceh by sea. During the interrogation, the suspects revealed that they were working under an individual known only by the initials R, who has since been designated as a wanted person.

The suspects were to be charged under Article 114 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph 2 and Subsidiary Article 111 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.
