inp.polri.go.id – Jabar. The National Police Chief (Kapolri), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, reviewed the implementation of simultaneous vaccinations in 34 provinces of Indonesia. This time, Kapolri, along with Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, attended the vaccination at the Intelkam Education and Security Center, Soreang, Bandung Regency, West Java.
"Today, our priority is to carry out vaccinations in this place, especially for the people, Imams, Lecturers, and Khatib of the Mosque. There are approximately 1,500 people who are vaccinated in this place. Meanwhile, Today's daily vaccination target in West Java itself is 200 thousand. I appreciate their effort and please continue to maintain it," said Sigit after reviewing the activity, Thursday (24/3/2022).
In his review, Sigit appreciated the West Java Forkopimda, because he heard that the growth rate of Covid-19 and the positivity rate in this region had decreased. He also asked to maintain and improve these positive achievements.
Even so, Sigit emphasized to Forkopimda and Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB) throughout Indonesia, to continue to prepare strategies for accelerating vaccination acceleration ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Sigit, in this year's holy month, the Government has allowed the Indonesian people to return to the mosques as it was before the pandemic, but implore them to still adhere to the health protocols. Therefore, Sigit asked that the health protocols must be maintained to ensure that people remain in good health and avoid exposure to the coronavirus.
"Therefore, I ask that the Kapolda and all existing FKUB ranks continue in encouraging vaccination by implementing vaccination strategies near mosques. Then in places where there are a lot of people, such as in markets and other places. At these points, which have a lot of activity, vaccine outlets have been prepared so that during this month of Ramadan vaccinations will continue. By doing this, I hoped all community activities can run well while preventing the surging case of Covid-19," said Sigit.
Sigit emphasized that the vaccination strategy is the key to suppressing the growth rate of Covid-19. Therefore, it must be ensured that the public has received the second and third doses of the vaccine.
He also reminded the people about the preparation regarding the homecoming tradition in Eid al-Fitr. By being fully vaccinated, it is hoped that no Covid-19 cluster will appear.
Furthermore, to prevent the emergence of new clusters, the former Banten Police Chief also reminded about the acceleration of vaccination for the elderly. According to him, in doing so, a door-to-door strategy should be applied.
"This is what we will continue to pursue and implement. So that this Ramadhan and post-Eid al-Fitr, we can still control this pandemic. Because if this pandemic is out of control, it will give an impact on our economic growth. We hope we can maintain our economic growth above five percent. This is what we have to manage well. We have to improve our health and maintain our economic growth at the same time. We hope all of this can be done well, "said the former Banten Police Chief.
On the other hand, Sigit also hopes for the media crew to help inform anything related to the cooking oil. This is expected to avoid the scarcity and soaring prices of the goods, given that the government has already set a price policy for the sale of bulk cooking oil.
"And then, of course, we asked our media partners, apart from informing the vaccination programs, to also to continue in covering the development of fluctuations in the availability of oil, especially bulk oil, "said Sigit.
In his visit to Intelkam Education and Security center, other than reviewing the vaccination, Sigit also guided strategies for controlling the Covid-19 Pandemic y via video call to all provinces in Indonesia.
