inp.polri.go.id – Karawang. Dozens of students who are members of the Karawang Student Movement (Gemak) staged a demonstration in front of the Karawang Regent's office gate. In addition, dozens of students had pushed into the district government office area.

There was tension when the masses demanded the Regent of Karawang, dr. Cellica Nurrachadiana came out and met them.

However, there was an exciting sight caught on camera by journalists amid the demonstration. The heated atmosphere suddenly melted away when a female police officer (Polwan) was present among the protesters.

Some policewomen in uniform instead embraced the demonstrators by providing drinks and food.

"Dek, drink this first," shouted the policewoman, handing the drink to the demonstrators who were sitting on the Regional Government fence.

"Thank you, ma'am," said the student.

To note, students demand transparency of the budget for the 'Karawang Cerdas' program. While shouting, the action participants carried several banners bearing various demands, one of which was 'CSR-Education Transparency'. They took turns giving speeches and asking government representatives to meet the masses of action.
