Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named eight suspects in a case involving the management of foreign worker placement plans (RPTKA) at the Ministry of Manpower .

“Eight persons have been named as suspects in this case,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said during a press briefing at the KPK headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday (20/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He confirmed the announcement followed a search conducted at the ministry’s office earlier that day. However, Budi declined to reveal the identities or affiliations of the suspects, saying the KPK is still gathering information.

In response, Minister of Manpower Yassierli said the ministry had already dismissed officials suspected of being involved in corruption related to the issuance of foreign worker permits at the Directorate of Foreign Worker Utilization Control (PPTKA).

He noted the case dates back to 2019 and stemmed from public complaints received in July 2024.

Minister Yassierli said that services for foreign worker permits remain unaffected and reiterated the ministry’s full support for KPK’s legal process.
