Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The General Election Commission (KPU) states that they continuously working on the damaged ballots issue in several regions. In their statement, they pledge that new ballots would be reprinted. “In fact, by sorting we indirectly demonstrates that we are working. If there are ballot papers are severely damaged, we will sort them out and replaced them with new one,” says member of KPU Yulianto Sudrajat on Tuesday (1/9/2024). According to him, the total of damaged ballots is just a few compared to the total ballots. However, KPU will continue to sort the ballots every day to ensure no damaged ballots left unchecked. “It was only several hundreds, the highest that I knew is only just 1,000,” says Yulianto. Yulianto says that the filtering will continue for the next 30 days as it is enough to sort and check if there are any damaged ballots. “The time is enough as we filter the ballots every day. The data of damaged ballots always came and we have compiled them to be reprinted,” conclude Yulianto. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
