The General Election Commission (KPU) will form an ad hoc for the Regional Head Election on April 17th, 2024. “This marks as a symbol that we have entered the 2024 Regional Head Election. Technically, it would be on April 17th, 2024 when we formed the ad hoc agency for the election,” says the Chairperson of KPU, Hasyim Asy’ari on Monday (4/1/2024). The ad hoc agency will consist of sub-district election committee (PPK), voting committee (PPS) at village and sub-district levels and polling station organization committee or (KPPS). “Then, followed by updating voter data for regional elections," explained Chairman Hasyim. According to the KPU Regulation Number 2 of 2024, the schedule for the ad hoc agency formation for Regional Head Election will be on April 17th, 2024. The formation marks the beginning of the election process until its voting day on November 27th, 2024. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
