Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Legislator of the House of Representatives (DPR), Alamudin Dimyati Rois, passed away early Tuesday (6/5/2025) at Budi Rahayu Hospital in Pekalongan, Central Java,  after succumbing to injuries sustained in a car accident on the Pemalang-Batang toll road in Central Java.

The news was confirmed by Mahfud Sodiq, the Secretary of the Kendal branch of the National Awakening Party (PKB) and Chairman of Kendal Legislative Council. Alamudin, widely known as Gus Alam, had been receiving intensive care following the crash in the early hours of 2 May 2025, according to antaranews.com.

The late legislator was also serving as the Secretary of theAdvisory Council (Dewan Syura ) of PKB in Central Java. He was scheduled to be laid to rest on Tuesday afternoon at Al-Fadlu 2 Islamic Boarding School in Sidorejo village, Brangsong, Kendal.

The fatal accident occurred at KM 315 of the Pemalang-Batang toll road near Petarukan. The Toyota Kijang Innova car carrying Gus Alam attempted to overtake a vehicle but collided with a truck ahead due to limited distance. The impact was severe, causing two fatalities at the scene.
