Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The ex-Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe was charged with ten years and six months of imprisonment and a fine of IDR 1 million with a subside of six months imprisonment for his corruption crime case, Wednesday (9/13/2023).
On his allegations, the public prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Wawan Yunarwanto, plead the judges to state that Lukas Enembe is legally proven to accept the bribe of IDR 45.8 billion and gratification of IDR 1.9 billion. Wawan implored the judges to sentence Lukas Enembe to 10 years and six months of imprisonment.

Enembe stated has violated Article 12 letter a of the Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and the second charge violates Article 12 B of the Anti-Corruption Law.
It was reported that judges have sentenced to pay the fine or his assets will be confiscated and auctioned to cover the fine. If the guilty does not have any assets or ability to pay the fine, Enembe will be subjected to be imprisoned for three years more.
Lukas Enembe was arrested after he, Mikael Kambuaya and Gerius One Yoman have committed the crime that they commit since 2017 to 2021.
