Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck off the southwest coast of Jember Regency, East Java, on Sunday evening (19/7/2026) at 8.09 pm.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the epicenter was located 255 kilometers southwest of Jember at coordinates 10.49° South Latitude and 113.56° East Longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
"This information prioritizes speed, so data processing results are not yet fully stable and may change as complete data becomes available," BMKG said in an official release via X.
No damage or casualties were immediately reported due to the offshore location of the quake. Authorities advise residents to remain calm and monitor official channels for further seismic updates.
