Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck southeast of Sukabumi, West Java, early Monday morning (23/12/2024).
According to the Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), the earthquake occurred at 12.05 am, with its epicenter located at 9.54°S latitude and 106.56°E longitude, approximately 283 km southeast of Sukabumi. The earthquake had a depth of 10 kilometers.
BMKG has confirmed that the earthquake does not pose a tsunami threat but urged the public to remain cautious of potential aftershocks.
