Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Malang Police enlisted more than 3,000 traffic violators after two weeks of 2023 Zebra Operation. The operation began since September 4th to 17th, 2023. “During the operation, most of the violations can be clearly seen by the police officer in the field,” explains Head of Malang Police of Traffic Unit, Police Commissioner Adjutant Agnis Juwita, quoted from otomotif.tempo.co on Monday (9/25/2023). The majority of violations committed are not wearing a helmet and unable to show complete vehicle documents. Apart from that, there are also many vehicles found with their light or brakes being broken. “There are also many others who still did not wear helmet, even in crowded traffic,” she adds. The Zebra Operation in Malang recorded that most of the violations were committed by younger drivers. In response to this, the police aim to also educate the traffic violators with traffic safety and its dangers if violating the law. Malang Traffic Police will keep on monitoring and impose sanctions on traffic violators to realize a more secure and safe traffic in Malang. (ad/ek/pr/nm)
