inp.polri.go.id - Maluku. The Maluku Regional Police have expressed their readiness to oversee the national corn program through farmer assistance and distribution supervision to support food security.
"We are ready to support the food security program through distribution supervision, assistance to farmer groups, and safeguarding against potential disruptions that could hamper the program," said the Vice Chief of the Maluku Regional Police, Brigadier General Imam Thobroni, as reported by Antara, Wednesday (5/6/2026).
This commitment was affirmed during the Analysis and Evaluation (Anev) of the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Food Security Program, attended virtually by Imam.
In the evaluation forum, INP discussed several strategic agendas for the implementation of the 2026 food security program. The discussion included progress on corn planting areas, production achievements based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), and readiness for the main harvest in the second quarter of 2026.
"Given Maluku's challenging geographic conditions, the role of the police in overseeing distribution and securing the program is crucial to ensure effective implementation on the ground," he said.
With continuously strengthened cross-sector synergy, it is hoped that the food security program will not remain a ceremonial agenda but will instead have a real impact on community welfare and regional economic stability.
