inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) stated that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program aligns with the flagship program, "National Anti-Narcotics Action and National Resilience Starting from Children" (Ananda Bersinar).

The Head of the BNN, Suyudi Ario Seto, stated that this is particularly important in building the foundation of a Golden Generation of 2045 that is healthy, has character, and is strong in resisting negative influences from an early age.

"Optimal nutritional fulfillment is an essential physical foundation for strengthening children's cognitive resilience," said the BNN Head on Tuesday (3/3/2026). He believes that with healthy bodies and brains, Indonesian children will have a natural barrier to resist the threat of narcotics in the future.

Suyudi also explained the urgency of synergy, citing data on drug prevalence in 2025, which reached 2.11 percent, equivalent to 4.1 million people. Based on a social criminology review, poverty and economic vulnerability are often exploited by drug syndicates. Therefore, the presence of the MBG program in vulnerable areas is believed to be an effective mitigation tool.

As a concrete commitment, BNN is offering to utilize its vertical agencies across 34 provinces and 182 regencies/cities to facilitate the development of nutrition service infrastructure.

The BNN also proposed an innovative idea: embedding drug prevention literacy messages through stickers or embossing on MBG food containers. Furthermore, Suyudi emphasized the importance of utilizing the Nutrition Program Service Unit (SPPG) ecosystem as a means of social reintegration for drug survivors.

"We hope that recovered survivors can be empowered at the SPPG so they can return to productivity and avoid relapse," he said.
