inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) program is concrete evidence of the government's commitment to meeting the basic needs of the people, especially vulnerable groups.

He stated that the MBG Program has reached tens of millions of beneficiaries and will continue to expand to include all government-determined targets.

"We have fed tens of millions of people and will continue to do so until it is complete," President Prabowo said on Wednesday (4/29/2026).

He explained that the MBG Program targets not only children but also pregnant women and the elderly who require adequate nutrition. Aid distribution is being carried out actively, including direct delivery to those in need.

President Prabowo assessed that the scale of the program demonstrates the government's commitment to improving the quality of Indonesia's human resources. 

"There are few countries that can feed more than 60 million people on a regular basis," he boasted.

He also stated that the MBG Program is beginning to attract the attention of several other countries interested in studying the program. According to President Prabowo, the program's success is inseparable from the cooperation of various parties, including the central government, regional governments, and community support.

However, he acknowledged that there were still shortcomings in implementation, which were being continuously evaluated and gradually improved. "We are continuing to improve so that this program becomes even better," said President Prabowo.

Furthermore, President Prabowo emphasized that the MBG Program is part of the government's broader strategy to ensure that development outcomes are directly felt by the community. He also linked the program's sustainability to downstream efforts, which are expected to increase state revenue.

The government is optimistic that through this combination of economic and social policies, Indonesia can achieve more equitable prosperity and improve the quality of life of the community as a whole.
