inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Government Communications Agency (Bakom), Muhammad Qodari, confirmed that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program remains a national priority program despite the change in leadership at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) from Nani Sudaryati Deyang to Sudaryono.
"I also want to emphasize one thing. The change in leadership at BGN does not shift or diminish the government's primary commitment. The MBG program remains and will continue to be our best investment in achieving the grand goal of Indonesia Emas 2045," Qodari said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/28/2026).
He said the government respects the decision of the previous BGN Head, Nanik S. Deyang, to resign from her position due to health reasons.
The government, he said, also expressed its appreciation for her contribution to strengthening the governance of the MBG program during her tenure.
Qodari stated that President Prabowo Subianto has mandated former Vice Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono as the new Head of BGN to continue strengthening the implementation of the MBG program.
According to him, the leadership change reflects the President's commitment to providing leadership capable of strengthening cross-sector collaboration and accelerating the resolution of various problems in the field.
"This change is part of our joint effort to continuously refine the MBG program, which is one of the government's priority programs, so that BGN becomes more agile, reliable, and responsive to what is happening in the community," he said.
Under the new leadership, Qodari continued, the government will also focus on improving service quality, strengthening food safety standards, and accelerating follow-up on every report and finding from the public.
He added that the government is optimistic that the gradual improvements will make the MBG program more effective, more targeted, and provide greater benefits to the community.
"By continuing to learn, be open to evaluation, and be willing to improve, we are optimistic that this program will be even more effective, more targeted, and bring smiles to the nation's future generations. Thank you for the support and prayers of all Indonesians. Let us jointly oversee the implementation of this MBG program," he concluded.
