Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police finalized security measures for the simultaneous village head elections scheduled across 154 villages in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Sunday.
Executed through the Bekasi Metropolitan Subregional Police and local inter-agency security forces, deployment operational plans are tailored based on risk assessments to ensure safety across all voting stages.
Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto urged candidates, campaign supporters, and residents to maintain public order and reject provocation or intimidation.
"We invite all parties to demonstrate a readiness to win or lose gracefully, and to ensure that differences in choices do not trigger conflict," he said on Friday (18/9/2026). "Should objections or disputes arise during the election process, resolution must be pursued through legal mechanisms."
In addition to preventing general public disturbances, the Metro Jaya Police Directorate of General Criminal Investigation and Bekasi Police are monitoring potential illegal gambling rings targeting the village election outcomes.
Field officers are instructed to enforce laws strictly while maintaining a professional and humanistic approach.
