Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Cyber Crime Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police arrested an Instagram account owner, identified by the initials AFA, in Cibodas, Tangerang City, on Sunday.

Suspect AFA, who managed the account @pemukiman._.setan, was arrested for allegedly distributing instructions on manufacturing Molotov cocktails and posting provocative content inciting violence against authorities and specific targets. Police clarified that the arrest was unrelated to viral rumors regarding attacks on a civil society organization.

"The arrest is not related to posts about attacks on GRIB organization, but concerns the alleged dissemination of content detailing materials and instructions for making Molotov cocktails and incendiary devices, accompanied by provocative text encouraging violence," said Metro Jaya Police head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto on Monday (31/8/2026).

Suspect AFA has been officially named a suspect and remains under investigation by cybercrime detectives.
