Inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. The Yogyakarta Sub-regional Police reaffirmed their commitment to implementing Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto's priority program, "Police with the Community," following a leadership transition in the special region.
Newly inaugurated Yogyakarta Police Chief Inspector General Langgeng Purnomo declared the commitment while leading the police banner (Pataka) handover ceremony in Yogyakarta on Friday (9/10/2026). He officially assumed leadership after his inauguration by the INP Chief on 3 October 2026, succeeding Inspector General Anggoro Sukartono.
In his inaugural address, Chief Langgeng emphasized that successful community policing begins with internal commitment, personal integrity, and a sincere dedication to public service. He called on his subordinates to enhance technical competencies, maintain spiritual values, and deliver professional, accountable, and transparent public services in alignment with institutional duties.
Chief Langgeng instructed the entire Yogyakarta force to preserve institutional honor and solid integration to ensure police officers serve as role models for national unity while supporting regional and national development initiatives.
