The personnel of Noken Community Development of Cartenz Peace Ops, led by Ipda Engel Mayor educates the children how to count. In teaching the children, the personnel used oranges as the media of learning. Ipda Engel Mayor confirmed the method used by the personnel, and said that this inspiration came up so that the children would not be bored when learning. “We used oranges as a media of learning so that the kids won’t get bored,” said Ipda Engel Mayor. Ipda Engel adds that this becomes one of the approaches of Noken Community Development of Intan Jaya in providing education and attracting the attention of the children. “With this method, the children would be interested in learnig although at first they were scared when meeting us,” said Ipda Engel with smile.
