A unit of Mobile Brigade of North Kalimantan Regional Police sterilized the room used for General Election Commission (KPU) Open Plenary Session at Grand Pangeran Khar Tanjung Selor Hotel on Thursday (3/7/2024). The initiative is to ensure the activity goes safely and smoothly. “A team from Mobile Brigade dispatched for sterilization. The step is part of effort in ensuring the room is free of dangers,” said the North Kalimantan PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Budi Rachmat. The PR Chief continued that the unit conduct the operation in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedure. Furthermore, Budi told that the unit has checked the room completely, even to the door and areas outside the room. “Other than making sure the room is secured, the unit later will also check every attendant going into or exiting the room with metal detectors,” said Budi. He explained that the move is to anticipate any dangerous items entering the room that may threaten the activity. (ad/inp/pr/nm)
