inp.polri.go.id - Sumatra Utara. The Directorate of Traffic of the North Sumatra Police has started to implement mobile-based Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE). Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, said that the violations caught by the ETLE mobile camera were only the visible violations such as not wearing a helmet, driving on the wrong side of the road, violating traffic signs and markings, as well as vehicles whose license plates have expired. "Since the first day the ETLE mobile was implemented, there were 276 violations caught on camera, of which 268 did not wear helmets, and eight others violated road signs and markings," said the Head of Public Relations, Tuesday (2/8). He explained, since July 2022, it has been socialized to the public that there would be an ETLE mobile. The mechanism of action is that officers would patrols around the city and take pictures of violations on the road, which will later be sent to the back office at, which then processed further to issue a ticket to the violators. "With the ETLE mobile, we hope that the public can be more aware and not violate traffic laws," hoped the Head of Public Relations.
