Personnel from the 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation (ODC) Police Task Force, along with the RI-PNG Border Security Task Force, Infantry Battalion 734/SNS, and the Rapid Response Force Command (Kopasgat), conducted a Healthy Sunday Service at the Bethel Indonesia Church in Oksibil District, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua Mountains, on Sunday (9/27/2026).
The service, which began at approximately 10:05 a.m. included free health services, including medical check-ups and medical treatment for the community. In addition, personnel shared food with children living near the church.
The Healthy Sunday Service is part of the personnel's humanistic approach in the operational area and serves as a means to build communication and strengthen relationships with the community. Through direct service, personnel strive to provide benefits while creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere for residents.
During the service, personnel interacted directly with residents participating in the health services and with residents around the church. This interaction received a positive response, including community appreciation for the health services and the care provided to residents.
Head of the ODC Task Force, Inspector General Faizal Ramadhani, stated that the activity is part of the implementation of duties that not only focuses on security aspects but also prioritizes a persuasive and humanistic approach.
"Through activities such as the Healthy Sunday Service, personnel can be directly present in the community and provide beneficial services. This humanistic approach is important for building communication, strengthening relationships, and creating a sense of security for the community in carrying out their daily activities," said Faizal.
According to him, a good relationship between security officers and the community needs to be continuously built through communication and activities that address community needs. With good communication, it is hoped that the community will play a role in maintaining security and order in their respective communities.
