inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) currently is holding Operation Safety 2022 for 14 days. This activity has succeeded in reducing the number of traffic accidents. The Head of the Operational Section (Kabagops) of Korlantas Polri, Commissioner Eddy Djunaedi said the operation was aimed at improving traffic discipline and compliance. According to him, the number of accidents has been reduced. “By comparing the before and after the operation, we successfully reduced the accidents by 40%, the fatality rate of the victims who died fell by 70%, serious injuries decreased by 13%, and Minor injuries decreased by 38%," revealed Kabagops Korlantas Polri, Tuesday (15/3/22). Commissioner Eddy Djunaedi said that this operation was socialized and educated to the public. They go directly to the community and distribute flyers. "It is hoped that with this Safety Operation, the traffic safety will be much better," hoped Kabagops Korlantas Polri. Kabagops Korlantas Polri thanked all parties involved on the duty. According to him, the results of the 2022 Safety Operation will be a guiding example before conducting the 2022 Ketupat Operation. "We do not carry out legal remedies, we only use ETLE. However, we are taking preventive measures by giving warnings that are educative to the community, and sympathetic to the community," he concluded.
