inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Jambi Regional Police Public Relations Division held the 2026 Public Relations Working Meeting with the theme "Optimizing Public Communication and Media Management".

On this occasion, the Head of Public Relations for the Jambi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Erlan Munaji, conveyed his direction that the 2026 Public Relations Working Meeting would serve as a means to improve the capacity and professionalism of public relations personnel in facing the increasingly complex challenges of public communication in the digital era.

"Our role is vital in supporting the police's duties. Thus, all Public Relations Unit Heads are reminded to develop highly skilled personnel, pay attention to human resource development, facilities and infrastructure, and optimize budgets to support the implementation of public relations duties," he said.

Furthermore, within the public relations function, the management of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) in each work unit must be a shared concern. The PPID must be able to provide fast, precise, and accurate public information services.

In addressing various emerging issues in the community, the public relations function must be optimized to monitor, mitigate, and communicate the response measures taken by the police.

Public relations must be able to provide prompt and accurate information to prevent developing issues from spiraling into a national issue.
