Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. Papua Regional Police has firmly stated their commitment to secure the 2024 General Election through Cartenz Mantap Brata Operation. The operation has been designed specifically to safeguard the 2024 simultaneous general election. Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri says active role of related stakeholders, religious figures, public figures, and the general public would greatly help his party to ensure the election would go safely, peacefully, and smoothly. “And that is why we encourage the people of Papua to cast your vote in the election on February 14th, 2024,” says Papua Regional Police Chief on Sunday (12/17/2023). Election candidates campaign is currently on going and proved to be a challenge for police in Papua after the formation of New Autonomous Region. The New Autonomous Region has become the focus of Papua Regional Police and XVII Cenderawasih Regional Military Command in ensuring public safe and security during the election process. Police commitment in maintaining safety and security of the election was demonstrated by holding religious activities with Religious Harmony Forum and Indonesia Praying Concert, in Sentani, Jayapura.
