inp.polri.go.id - The West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) has terminated more than a hundred tons of methamphetamine in Parigi District, Pangadaran Regency, which is known to be the result of the Directorate of Drug Investigation’s case disclosure. "The total evidence that was terminated was 1,196 tons of methamphetamine," stated the West Java Police Chief (Kapolda Jabar) Inspector General Suntana, at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bandung City on Thursday (19/5/22). Inspector General Suntana explained that the methamphetamine was sent from Iran to be circulated on the island of Java. There are 5 suspects who are currently undergoing legal proceedings with the initials of M, DH, HH, AH, and a woman with the initials NS. "This is part of our responsibility to the community, in realizing a secure and safety situation for the public," explained Kapolda Jabar. The termination was carried out in two locations, first at the West Java Police Headquarters and the second was in collaboration with Biofarma Bandung. The termination itself is carried out by burning it with an incinerator. In addition to the disclosure in Pangandaran, the Director of Drug Investigation of Kapolda Jabar also terminated another methamphetamine, weighing 1.8 kilograms, which was also the result of the Directorate of Drug Investigation's case disclosure. Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Jabar, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo added, that it is indeed because of the large amount of the drugs, the termination was carried out in two different places. "Moreover, our existing devices will not be able to destroy that much of methamphetamine," he explained.
