inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police confirmed that the letter requesting Eid al-Fitr Allowance (THR) purporting to be from the Tanjung Priok Port Sub-regional Police Traffic Unit was false. 

The letter was circulated among freight transport operators operating in the port area.

The Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that his team is investigating the authenticity of the circulating letter.

"We are currently looking into this issue, because the Tanjung Priok Port Sub-regional Police never sent the letter," explained Budi on Thursday (3/5/2026).

Meanwhile, the Tanjung Priok Port Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Aris Wibowo, confirmed that his team never issued the letter. He said his party had coordinated with the Indonesian Trucking Entrepreneurs Association (APTRINDO) regarding this matter.

"We have also coordinated with the APTRINDO management, and APTRINDO has issued a clarification letter to prevent any parties from being harmed," said Aris.
