inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police stated that the various achievements and progress achieved by the Indonesian National Police (INP) today are inseparable from the solid foundation built by retired officers during their active service.
This was conveyed by the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Chief, Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri, in a written address read by the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Vice Chief, Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono, while presenting awards to 25 members of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Retired Officers Association (PP) in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.
"Our various achievements today are the result of the strong foundation built during the years of service of our senior officers," said Eko on Wednesday (7/15/2026).
According to him, the awarding of the 10-Year Satyalancana Tridharma Karya Bakti Award and the Tridharma Charter is a tangible form of respect from the institution for the loyalty and devotion maintained by the retired officers.
Therefore, he emphasized that all active police personnel should continue to emulate the experience, ideas, and concerns of their seniors to strengthen their dedication to the community, nation, and state.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police PP, Inspector General (Ret.) Mudji Waluyo, welcomed the appreciation and stated that a Bhayangkara's spirit of service will never end, even after administrative retirement.
"The uniform has indeed been removed, the rank and position have been abandoned, but the spirit of protecting the nation never retires. What retires is only the administrative side of the service, while the spirit of service never retires," said Mudji.
