inp.polri.go.id - Aceh. The Traffic Unit of Aceh Jaya Sub-regional Police deployed their personnel in securing and managing traffic following the incident of falling tree at Banda Aceh - Meulaboh Highway, Geurutee Mountain, Sundaya (6/8/2025).

The Head of Aceh Jaya Sub-regional Police Traffic Unit, First Police Inspector Muhammad Hisam says that the presence of personnel at the field represents police awareness with the situation and condition of the region and to ensure traffic security.

“The presence of a police unit at the location was to ensure the situation is under control and to manage the traffic continuously while providing security to the people crossing the road,” said Muhammad.

In addition to carrying out arrangements and security, personnel from the Aceh Jaya Sub-regional Police Traffic Unit also conveyed a direct appeal to the people to always obey traffic regulations, prioritize safety when driving, and be aware of weather conditions and potential natural disasters such as fallen trees or landslides.

"We continue to remind people to be careful, especially in vulnerable areas such as Mount Geurutee. Education and socialization of driving safety remain an important part of our duties," explained Muhammad Hisam.

The Aceh Jaya Sub-regional Police Traffic Unit emphasized its commitment to maintaining security, safety, order, and smooth traffic through various preventive and responsive activities in the field.
