inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Vital Object Security Directorate successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle approximately five kilograms of methamphetamine at the Bakauheni Ferry Port in Lampung on Friday (10/24/2025).
As reported by beritatangerang, at around 12:20 p.m., officers on duty at the Regular Passenger Terminal became suspicious of a black backpack during an X-ray inspection. The inspection revealed several suspicious packages inside the bag.
After a thorough inspection, officers found five large packages containing white crystalline powder strongly suspected to be methamphetamine, weighing approximately 5 kilograms.
The owner of the bag was later apprehended and identified as Fahtur Rahmat Hidayat (19), a resident of Pekanbaru, Riau. He was immediately taken to a checkpoint for further questioning.
Evidence, consisting of five packages of methamphetamine and a black backpack, has been handed over to the Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate of INP for further investigation and network development.
The police affirmed their commitment to combating illicit drug trafficking throughout Indonesia, in order to maintain security and protect the future generations from the dangers of drug abuse.
