inp.polri.go.id - Southwest Papua. The Southwest Papua Regional Police continues to strengthen its relationship with the community through the Police Care for Unemployment (Poliran) program, themed "Police with the Community."
The activity took place in the hall of the Sorong State Secondary Fisheries Business School, Sorong City, on Thursday, October 29, 2026, starting at 8:30 a.m. The activity was led by the Head of Logistics of the Southwest Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Nurochman Nulhakim, along with personnel from the Southwest Papua Regional Police's Community Development Directorate and the local community.
The Head of the Information Processing and Documentation Sub-Division (PID) of the Southwest Papua Regional Police, Police Assistant Superintendent Jenny S.A. Hengkelare explained that the Poliran program demonstrates police's concern for social issues in the community and an effort to build closer communication and relationships with residents.
Through this program, the police not only carry out their duties of maintaining public security and order, but also exist to foster relationships, listen to residents' needs, and raise awareness of various social issues, including unemployment.
The presence of police personnel in the community is expected to strengthen public trust and encourage community involvement in maintaining security and order in their respective neighborhoods.
The Southwest Papua Regional Police hope that the Poliran program can continue to strengthen the partnership between the police and the community through a humanistic approach, open communication, and a spirit of togetherness.
By upholding the spirit of "Police with the Community," the National Police and residents are expected to continue working together to create a safe, peaceful, and conducive environment in the Southwest Papua region.
