Inp.polri.go.id - North Sumatra Regional Police implements a security system that attached to the Regional Head Election polling stations.

"The security operation will be different as there are safe, vulnerable to prone areas," says North Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Whisnu Hermawan Februanto on Monday (8/19/2024).

Whisnu says that every polling station will be guarded by community guardian official, police, and military member

North Sumatra General Election Commission (KPU) says there are 10,813,825 temporary voter list (DPS) with 25,233 polling stations that spreads across 455 districts.

"So, to the people, you can enjoy the election as we assure the situation is going to be safe," said the police chief.

In securing the election, North Sumatra Regional Police involves 12,172 police personnel with the support of 52,966 joint officials from the military and Community Guardians.
