inp.polri.go.id - Pekalongan. A member of the Pekalongan Sub-regional Police, Brigadier Septian Eko Nugroho, died while on duty securing the 2026 Eid homecoming traffic. At the time, Septian had just completed traffic control duties at Kajen Square on Sunday evening (March 22, 2026), as part of Operation Ketupat Candi 2026.

"After carrying out his duties and taking a short rest nearby, the deceased suddenly fainted," explained Pekalongan Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Rahmad Yusuf, in a written statement on Tuesday (3/24/2026).

His colleagues immediately took Septian to Kajen Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Upon arriving at the emergency room (ER), the medical team immediately performed first aid, including an electrocardiogram (EKG) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

"Based on the examination results, a heart rhythm disturbance was detected. However, despite the hospital’s best effort, the deceased was pronounced dead in the ER at Kajen Regional Hospital," he said.

According to Rahmad, the cause of death was related to cardiovascular disorders or heart disease. He stated that within the Pekalongan Sub-regional Police, Septian was known as a sociable, easy-going person, easy to interact with colleagues, had a good work ethic, and was highly loyal.
