inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Regional Metro Police Chief, Commissioner General  Dadang Hartanto, instructed all his staff to prioritize humane, responsive, and community-oriented services.

He also emphasized that law enforcement must be carried out professionally, objectively, and fairly to maintain public trust in the police force.

"The presence of the police must truly provide benefits and be directly felt by the public," Dadang said in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (10/14/2026).

Dadang emphasized that police duties cannot be carried out solely based on authority and procedures. Every officer is also required to be sensitive to the problems faced by the public and able to provide solutions through fast, easy, and appropriate service.

Therefore, he asked all staff to build rapport with the public through open communication, a willingness to listen to their aspirations, and a friendly and respectful attitude towards every member of the public who needs police assistance.

According to Dadang, quality service is a crucial factor in building a strong relationship between the police and the public.

Complaints and input from the public must be viewed as evaluation material for improving performance, not simply a formality that ends with the receipt of a report.

Regarding law enforcement, Dadang reminded that every case must be handled based on facts, evidence, and applicable legal provisions. The entire process must also uphold professionalism and respect the rights of all parties.

He emphasized that law enforcement not only aims to provide legal certainty, but must also guarantee a sense of justice for the public.

"Complaints and input from the public also need to be used as evaluation material to improve the quality of police services," he said.

In addition to emphasizing service to the public, Dadang asked mid-ranking officers to be role models for personnel in their respective units.

Leaders are expected to ensure that the values of integrity, discipline, and service oriented toward the public's interests are truly implemented in the implementation of daily duties.

He also reminded all personnel to avoid actions that could harm public trust. Integrity and responsibility, he stated, must be the foundation of every police task.
