inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. The Indonesian National Police (INP) revealed the high number of public movements at Bakauheni Port on December 26th, 2024. It was recorded that people moving with the sea transportation from Jakarta to Sumatra through Bakauheni Port is reaching 39,000.

“Currently, the report shows that there are 32,000 people going outside Jakarta while 39,000 are entering Jakarta through Merak Port,” says the Spokesperson of INP, Senior Superintendent Syamsu Ridwan on Friday (12/27/2024).

He explains that according to the air monitoring, the traffic flow from Jakarta to Merak Port, also the sea travel from the port is going well and no long queues are spotted.

On the other hand, Ridwan advised the people who are enjoying the holiday season to prepare themselves and their vehicles. Public also appealed to follow the instructions from officials at the field.

“Public are also appealed to consider the weather condition,” says Ridwan.
