inp.polri.go.id - Central Java. The Central Java Regional Police and the provincial police seized 4.69 kg of crystal methamphetamine during the 20-day Candi Pekat 2026 Operation.

Central Java Regional Police Vice Chief Brigadier General Latif Usman stated that in addition to crystal methamphetamine, 1.59 kg of marijuana, 1 kg of synthetic liquid, and hundreds of thousands of various types of adulterated pills were also seized. 

"During the operation, which took place from June 25 to July 14, 198 cases were uncovered with 245 suspects," he said in Semarang on Wednesday (7/23/2026). 

One of the largest seizures, he said, was made by the Surakarta Sub-regional City Police on June 30, 2026, with 3.5 kg of crystal methamphetamine as evidence. 

In addition to drug trafficking, he said, during Operation Pekat, 2,112 cases of illegal alcohol distribution were also uncovered, and 2,132 people were named suspects in the illegal alcohol distribution.

He said the various items of evidence seized from the crime had an economic value of around IDR 15 billion. 

Latif expressed concern over the continued rampant drug trafficking in Central Java. "Drug trafficking is still quite high, and our future task is to break the chain of distribution," he said.
