Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have launched humanitarian relief efforts for residents displaced by a large fire in Kapuk Muara, North Jakarta, by providing food and psychological support.

“We ] are present not only for law enforcement but also when people are in need,” said Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, the Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, on Sunday (8/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He said the field kitchen is part of the police’s social responsibility to ease the burden on evacuees. Officers prepared meals such as beef stew, fried potatoes, and rice.

The same day, North Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police’s female officers held trauma healing sessions for women and children.

The fire on 6 June 2025 destroyed semi-permanent homes over a three-hectare area. Officials estimate losses at Rp 8 billion, with over 750 families affected.
