inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) introduced a new tagline, "Police with the Community," as part of strengthening the direction of INP dedication and service to the community.
The tagline emphasizes the spirit of INP being present with the community, being at the heart of the community, and prioritizing the community's needs and interests as a primary component in carrying out its duties.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of INP, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the tagline "Police with the Community" affirms the leadership direction of INP Chief General Suyudi Ario Seto, who places the community at the center of police duties.
“‘Police with the Community’ is not just a tagline, but a spirit that must be embodied in every task. We are here to listen, serve, protect, provide legal certainty, and work together with the community to maintain security and order," Isir said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday (10/5/2026).
According to Isir, this spirit aligns with the direction of INP transformation as conveyed by the Chief of Police during his fit and proper test at the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). On that occasion, Suyudi emphasized the importance of professionalism, accountability, quality of service, and the Police's closeness to the community.
"Therefore, closeness to the community must be part of the work culture of all police members. Criticism and input from the public must also be viewed as evaluation material to continuously improve the quality of service and the implementation of duties," he said.
Isir added that the implementation of this tagline is expected to further strengthen the INP's presence in the community, both through services, fair law enforcement, and rapid response to various security and order issues.
"Hopefully, this spirit will be understood and implemented by all police members. ‘Police with the community’ means that we are not distant from the community, but rather present, listening, working together, and providing solutions to community needs," he said.
To strengthen the dissemination of this spirit, police is using the tagline ‘Police with the Community’ as its communication identity, which will be socialized and understood by all police ranks.
