Polri and PLN Held the Training on the Use of FABA

inp.polri.go.id – PT PLN, in collaboration with the Community Development Corps (Korbinmas) of the Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) held training on the use of burning ash material or Fly Ash Bottom Ash (FABA) simultaneously at 46 locations of steam power plants. (PLTU), Monday (06/06/22). The Chief Korbinmas Baharkam Polri, Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan, said the training on was carried out simultaneously by involving 24 Regional Police throughout Indonesia. According to the Two-Star General, the results of this training will know the benefits of FABA as a supporting material for infrastructure development that has economic value. "In the future, the Bhayangkara Supervisor of Community Security and Order (Bhabinkamtibmas) will teach the community around the power plant, so that MSMEs will start to appear and improve the economy," said the Akabri graduate in 1994. Inspector General Suwondo Nainggolan hopes that his enthusiasm for learning will continue, so that Bhabinkamtibmas can really help the community around the PLTU in taking advantage of FABA. Not only that, the Bhabinkamtibmas staff can also provide production and distribution training. In the same occassion, Executive Vice President of Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment (K3L) of PLN, Komang Parmita said they committed in utilizing FABA as a building material product that can be applied in construction and infrastructure, as well as in other forms such as organic fertilizer. PLN's efforts to utilize FABA are in line with Indonesia's enthusiasm to become one of the top players in the global supply chain. The Government Regulation number 22 of 2021 has been issued which revokes FABA's status as a hazardous and toxic material (B3), and extends the FABA storage time limit to three years.
