Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the acceleration of development across all sectors in Papua, emphasizing food security as the foundation for inclusive growth and national resilience. 

The directive was delivered during a meeting with Papua’s regional leaders and the Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Papua’s Special Autonomy Development at the State Palace on Tuesday (16/12/2025).

“Papua’s development must be accelerated in all fields, with food security as the main pillar,” President Prabowo said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The President stressed that food self-sufficiency must be achieved not only at the national level but also down to provincial and district levels to ensure sustainability. He explained that the special committee was formed to help governors and regents fast-track programs so allocated budgets directly benefit communities.

President Prabowo also outlined priority programs, including free nutritious meals, people’s schools, coastal fishing villages, food estates, public facilities, and the completion of the Trans-Papua Road to reduce isolation and logistics costs.
