Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto returned to Jakarta on Monday morning (23/12/2024) after attending the 11th Developing Eight (D-8) Summit in Cairo, Egypt and immediately convened a meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
Greeted by senior officials, including Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Agus Subiyanto, the President moved directly to the VIP lounge for a briefing with his cabinet and security chiefs.
The meeting focused on ensuring public safety during the holiday season, a time of peak travel and heightened activity across the country. President Prabowo emphasized the need for robust security measures, efficient traffic management, and clear communication with the public.
He also stressed the importance of disaster preparedness, urging agencies to coordinate closely and share up-to-date weather information to mitigate risks.
"We must ensure the holidays are safe and orderly for all Indonesians," the President said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
