Inp.polri.go.id - Beijing. President Prabowo Subianto thanked  Chinese President Xi Jinping for China's role as Indonesia’s largest investor during a meeting on Saturday (9/11/2024).

"China is Indonesia’s strategic economic partner and its leading investor. We thank you greatly for your support," President Prabowo said at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He emphasized that the Indonesia-China strategic partnership has been a significant milestone in their bilateral relations. 

"Over a decade of partnership, our cooperation spans all sectors, and we aim to enhance this relationship," President Prabowo added.

Following the meeting, the ministers from both nations signed and exchanged memoranda of understanding on various collaborations.

President Prabowo also revealed that agreements worth USD 10 billion will be signed on Sunday between Indonesia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and major Chinese companies.

The Beijing visit marked President Prabowo’s first state visit since taking office on 20 October 2024.
