inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Tourism is disseminating the Circular on school holidays in 2025 so that local governments, associations, and tourism business actors can present safe, comfortable, and memorable tourism during school holidays.

"Therefore, I appreciate the Ministry of Home Affairs for the opportunity that has been given to us to communicate directly with the heads of provincial and district/city regions from all 38 provinces in Indonesia," said Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri in his statement on Monday (6/23/2025).

On that occasion, the Minister of Tourism explained that the school holiday is one of the moments where public mobility and economic activity are increased in the tourism sector.

The intensity of tourist movement will also be followed by potential risks that require careful anticipation from the central and regional governments, as well as destination managers, both in terms of safety, anticipation of natural disasters, and visitor discipline.

Therefore, the circular states that regional governments are asked to implement standards for cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability (CHSE) and implement risk-based tourism business standards and coordinate with various parties for smooth tourism.

Tourist attraction managers are advised to provide excellent service to tourists, ensure the implementation of SOPs, Occupational Safety and Health (K3) standards, safety standards especially for high-risk rides, destination risk mitigation, and sustainable management.

Managers are required to actively convey destination information to tourists, both directly and through social media; to provide adequate rest areas for drivers.

Minister Widiyanti asked the public to comply with the regulations at the destination, conduct risk assessments and understand modules related to CHSE and disasters.

She hopes that the public can work together with the government to monitor and provide information on developments in the field. Public also urged to maintain and mitigate security and safety at the destination and maintain cleanliness and comfort at the destination.
