Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia Bandung temporarily halted the Siliwangi train service on the Cipatat–Cianjur–Sukabumi route Sunday evening (5/4/2026) after heavy flooding submerged tracks in the Cianjur-Cibeber sector.

"Safety remains our top priority, and we have decided to hold the Siliwangi train at Cianjur Station until the tracks are cleared and declared safe for transit," said PT KAI Bandung Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo, as reported by antaranews.com.

As floodwaters from the Cibeber and Cilaku sub-districts rendered the rails impassable, officials offered affected passengers a 100% refund for those choosing to cancel their trips.

For those waiting at the station, PT KAI provided service recovery compensation as part of their emergency protocol. Technical teams remain on-site to monitor water levels and conduct track inspections, with operations expected to resume once the drainage systems successfully clear the structural areas of the railway.
