"I still hope, urge, and even request that data verification is paramount," said the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Monday (8/11/ 2025).

She emphasized that the government must prioritize accurate and up-to-date data verification before making a decision to change or continue an assistance program.

"So, verify the data first. Don't change a program without proper, detailed, and accurate data verification, because that data is the most important reference," Puan said.

She also reminded the public that social assistance programs implemented by the government should not be misdirected, but must ensure that they reach those who are truly entitled to receive the assistance.

"We must not let the people who deserve all these programs not get them, and instead, those who don't deserve them receive them," she said.

Therefore, Puan urged the government to prioritize data evaluation and improvement as the primary basis for implementing social policy programs.

"So, please improve the data first, evaluate the data," the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) emphasized.
